I've already purchased tickets, do I still need to register?

Yes, even though you've purchased tickets and may have created a password if you purchased a digital subscription to Lion's Roar, you'll still need to create an account for the festival site. See registration process above.

What are the festival details?

Problems Loading or Viewing the Content?

There could be many reasons why a video won’t play on your desktop or mobile device. Below is a checklist of basic troubleshooting tips and well as instructions for clearing cache and cookies for most major browsers and devices.

Basic Troubleshooting

  1. Restart your device (this is often a good first step regardless of the issue)
  2. Ensure that you have an internet connection. If using WiFi be sure that you are receiving a strong signal
  3. Ensure that your browser is running on the most current version
  4. Clear your browser cache and cookies

Clearing browser cache and cookies on Desktop

Chrome for Mac

  1. Click on Chrome in the upper left-hand corner of your screen, then on Clear Browsing Data… from the dropdown menu that appears
  2. Select both Empty the cache and Delete cookies and other site data from the window that appears
  3. Click on the dropdown menu to the right of Obliterate the following items from and select the beginning of time
  4. Click on the Clear Browsing Data button

Chrome for Windows

  1. Hold down Ctrl + Shift + Delete
  2. Select both Empty the cache and Delete cookies and other site data from the window that appears
  3. Click on the dropdown box to the right of Obliterate the following items from and select the beginning of time
  4. Click on the Clear Browsing Data button

Firefox for Mac

  1. Click on History in the menu bar across the top of your screen, then on Clear Recent History… from the dropdown menu that appears
  2. then on Clear Recent History… from the dropdown menu that appears
  3. In the window that appears, click on the dropdown box to the right of Time range to clear and select Everything
  4. Click on Details and select both Cookies and Cache
  5. Click on Clear Now

Firefox for Windows

  1. Click the Menu button (three stacked horizontal lines) in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
  2. Click the History button in the menu that appears, then click Clear Recent History…
  3. Click on the dropdown box to the right of Time range to clear and select Everything
  4. Click on Details and select both Cookies and Cache
  5. Click on Clear Now
  6. Safari for Mac
  7. Click on Safari in the menu bar across the top of your screen
  8. Click on Preferences from the dropdown menu
  9. Select Privacy from the menu along the top of the window that appears, then click the Manage Website Data button
  10. Select Remove All and then in the small popup, click Remove Now

Internet Explorer for Windows

  1. Hold down Ctrl + Shift + Delete
  2. In the window that appears, uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet files and Cookies
  3. Click Delete
  4. You will get a confirmation at the bottom of your screen once it has finished

Edge for Windows

  1. Hold down Ctrl + Shift + Delete
  2. In the window that appears, select Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files
  3. Click on Clear

Clearing browser cache and cookies on Mobile

iOS – Safari (iPhone and iPad)

  1. Tap the Settings button on the home screen
  2. On the Settings screen, scroll down and tap the Safari button
  3. Under the ‘Privacy & Security’ section of the Safari screen, tap the Clear History and Website Data button
  4. On the confirmation screen, tap Clear History and Data

Android – Chrome

  1. Launch your browser, usually Chrome
  2. Open the Menu (three stacked dots) at the top right-hand corner of the window and select Settings
  3. Select Privacy
  4. Select Clear Browsing Data at the top of the window
  5. Check Clear the cache and Clear cookies, site data
  6. Select Clear

Windows Phone – Internet Explorer

  1. Tap the Internet Explorer tile on the home screen
  2. Tap on the ellipses (…) on the bottom right of the screen
  3. Scroll down and tap settings
  4. Scroll down and tap delete history
  5. On the confirmation screen, tap delete
  6. Once your browsing history has been cleared, tap the back button to return to Internet Explorer

Here are the Quick-Start instructions for your reference:

To watch the Lion’s Roar and BuddhaFest Online Film Festival, you’ll need to register first. 

Step 1 

From the login screen click “Register Now”   

Step 2 

  • Enter a username, something you will remember 
  • Enter the same email address you provided when you made your ticket purchase
  • Click register

Step 3

  • Check your inbox for a confirmation email from “WordPress,” subject line [Lion’s Roar & Buddhafest Online Film Festival]
  • If the email doesn’t arrive after 2-3 minutes, it might have gone into your “spam” or junk-mail folder, so check there. If you’re using Hotmail/Outlook, your confirmation might be in the folder labeled “Other.”
